The Brewery and Soft Drink Conference is the beverage trade division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. We bring together all of the Teamster locals in the U.S.A. and Canada with membership employed in the brewing and soft drink industries, as well as allied industries such as fruit juices, wine coolers, bottled water and can manufacturing. Our responsibilities include: assistance in contract negotiations; organizing; implementation of national master agreements; administration of grievance panels; and coordination of legislative activity. The Conference has a proud history. Some locals date back to the 19th Century. Although once competitive with the AFL-CIO United Brewery Workers, the two unions merged in 1973 to form the Teamsters Brewery and Soft Drink Workers Conference.
